The main act of doing something repeatedly helps you get better at it.

The more you repeat a habit, the more you are progressing in forming that habit.

Habits are the compound interest of self improvement

Forming habits is about consistency and repetition, not the number of days. There’s no definite time to how long it takes to form a habit.

Environmental design can make it easy to form habits.

Organizing your environment like placing items in a place where they are visible and easy to pick up can fuel the beginning of some habits.

The 2-Min Rule

If you’re trying to start a new habit, try this.

Tell yourself that you will try to do this habit for two minutes and not more. If you stop after two minutes, it’s fine.

This rule is to help you to stop procrastinating.

When you stop procrastinating, you can show up every day.

As time goes on, you would want to improve and increase the time beyond two minutes.

The two-minute rule is there for you to show up every day.

The more you do this, you form the habit.

Share this with everyone who haven’t gotten a chance to read Atomic Habits but would be interested in a book summary.

Catch you in the next one.

I plan to do this as a 13-day series. So, in 13 days, you can learn all about the book like you read it yourself.

This is Day 8.

Make your comments, ask your questions and let’s start a conversation in the comments section.
